The A406 baler is the third generation of Mil-tek pneumatic balers, featuring dual, double-acting cylinders that use compressed air to press and release the plate.Running on compressed air means that the A406 is free of hydraulic oil and contains no inherent risk of contamination.Adaptable to compact plastic (225kg bales), cardboard (175kg bales) as well as other recyclable materials, the A406 boasts a large pressing chamber suitable for wide boxes and large bags of plastic.EN16500 features are standard for all Mil-tek machines, and the A406 has a safe and simple two-handed bale-out mechanism.
Wilts Wholesale is a wholesaler of electrical supplies and equipment in the UK. A Mil-tek A406 has overseen significant annual savings on their waste costs.
Breadwinner is an Australian catering and sandwich firm. They chose a Mil-tek baler for the financial benefits, its flexibility and usability.
Pinguin are one of Europe's largest frozen vegetable manufactures. The introduction of a Mil-tek 306 baler has seen significant improvements in their waste cost, logistics and hygiene.
A Mil-tek technician will guide you through installation, which is done by simply connecting your A406 baler to a compressed air supply. You are now ready to start minimizing your waste.
Pull down the activation lever to start the pressing cycle. To release the pressing plate, pull the door handle. The door will remain shut until the plate has fully returned. Repeat as required.
Yes it is. Over the past number of years Mil-tek have been a part of a Health and Safety Executive committee that has been committed to creating new improved standards for the safe use of vertical balers. As a result we have made a significant number of improvements to the model A406 in order to comply with EN16500 standards and to ensure safe use for the end-user. Your internal working processes and the data available on your waste streams will provide you with that answer. Together with Mil-tek, we will ensure you find the optimal spot in your workplace.
The machine can stand either indoors or out - most important is that you place the machine so that you sort your waste at source. If you place the machine outside it must be under a roof. Be aware that cold weather conditions can influence the performance of the machine. Your Mil-tek consultant will help analysing the best place to install the machine.
As they are air-powered (pneumatic) rather than hydraulic, Mil-tek balers are extremely quiet. If you have an existing air-line you simply plug the machine and then your existing compressor acts as the engine. If you need to have a compressor installed, a Mil-tek technician will ensure that the compressor is placed at a distance from the machine and then install an air-hose between the compressor and the machine.
Ideal for baling plastic packaging typically used in the transportation and protection of clothing and consumable items. Constant pressure ensures an extremely dense bale is produced that is both easy to handle and easy to recycle. The baler can also be used to recycle smaller volumes of cardboard in small/medium supermarkets, convenience stores and general retail outlets.
The wide door and deep chamber of the Mil-tek A406 baler means large volumes of cardboard can be baled without the need for breaking down or flat packing. Plastic packaging stored in Mil-tek plastic bag stands can be placed directly into the baler saving time and therefore cost when dealing with packaging waste.
The modern waste technique of segregating and baling packaging waste using strategically placed recycling points has resulted in a significant increase in productivity across a range of organisations. A Mil-tek A406 baler accompanied by a small plastic baler (such as a model A102 or A205 baler), and strategically placed plastic bag stand can vastly improve logistics where a steady stream of packaging waste is created in multiple areas.
