The Mil-tek IC60 is an insulation compactor. It shreds and compacts mineral wool and stone wool that is typically used to insulated buildings and homes. Via a large opening, used insulation can be top-loaded into the machine. A large screw conveyor compresses the material into a fine powder, removing the layered memory and allowing for dense compaction. Designed to fit a standard shipping container, the IC60 has several inbuilt safety features include safety sensors to protect users and particle filters to remove glass dust. The IC60 can compress over 500kg of mineral wool per hour, and the compressed material loads directly into a flexible bulk bag (big bag), allowing for easy transport. The compressed mineral wool can be directly recycled, without further processing.
Material is loaded into the machine via the hatch. The wide opening allows for continuous loading and processes over 500kg per hour.
The material is compressed inside the spindle, which pulverises the form into a fine powder which is collected in a bulk bag at the end of a conveyor.
The compressed material is fed along a conveyor belt and down into a bulk bag, which can collect over 500kg of recycle-ready material per hour.
The IC60 can compress all forms of mineral wool including stone wool, rock wool, glass wool, fibre glass etc. To maximise recyclability and value, it is primarily recommended to compress stone wool.
Yes it can. It is recommended that the mineral wool be dry and free from debris to ensure efficient compaction and to increase the value of the recycled material.
The IC60 runs on 3-phase, 400V power.
Yes it can. The IC60 is designed to sit inside a standard shipping container, meaning that it is mobile and easily transported from one site to another.
Recycling and material processing companies can create an additional avenue of revenue using an insulation compactor.
The IC60 allows for recycling of mineral wool, a product which often ends up in landfill. Increased recycling of mineral wool can have a significant impact on the overall volume of material sent to landfill and increase the commodity income from the recycled material.
Building and construction companies that handle and use large volumes of mineral wool, glass wool and fibreglass can benefit their waste handling by using an IC60.
It's low design allows for it to operate from inside a standard shipping container facilitating easy transport from site to site and the compressed material collected inside a big bag is easy to store and transport.
Local municipal governments with defined landfill and recycling targets can use an IC60 insulation compactor to offset a large amount of landfil waste and increase the volume of recycled material.
Densely compacted and easy to store and transport, mineral rock wool is 100% recyclable and recycle-ready once compacted. Insulation that would otherwise be sent to landfill can instead be recycled and generate a commodity income.
